WOLLONGONG FC keeper Justin Pasfield put his personal disappointment to one side when good friend and Beijing selection favourite Danny Vukovic had his nine-month suspension reduced last week.

A congratulatory text message from Pasfield showed there were no hard feelings.

Vukovic, who was originally suspended from the Olympics as part of his nine-month ban for striking referee Mark Shield in the A-League grand final, is now free to go to China.

Pasfield said he couldn't help but feel happy for Vukovic.

"Danny and I are good friends, as much as he is a rival for a spot this is one of those things where you wish him the best," Pasfield said.

"I sent him a text saying it was a great result for him, I hold no grudges towards Danny.

"He has had a couple of great years for Central Coast, been there all through the qualifiers and deserves to make it."

Vukovic, Tando Velaphi and England-based South Coast junior Adam Federici are all ahead of Pasfield on the Olympics pecking order.

Despite missing out on the next Olyroos camp, Pasfield still has his NSW Premier League commitments to keep him occupied.

He helped the Wolves to a 1-1 draw with Blacktown City on Saturday night, a result that kept the Wolves in third place.
